This sacrament is also called the Sacrament of Penance or Confession. LNMV Religious Education program starts preparing our
Second grade students for this Sacrament in the fall of the year. The reception of this sacrament for the first time happens in January.
First Penance
September 20, 2011: Families receive First Penance Study Guides and booklets – begin
preparing for the sacrament immediately, a little at a time.
January 18th, 2012 Wed. PM Students First Penance Interviews, in classrooms 6:15 – 7:30. Take time
during child during the Christmas break to prepare your child for their interviews!
Holy Cross – The priests will schedule a day in the classroom during the 3rd week of January with your teacher.
Home School Students – You will be contacted the first week in January to schedule participation in a classroom interview.
**All interviews must be completed by January 20, 2012
**Parents are welcome to sit in the classroom during interviews.
Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation)
January 21st , 2012: First Penance Sacramental Ceremony, 10:00am St. Nicholas in New Market
· parents and siblings have opportunity for confession also
· remain in church until all students have received Penance, and Father has concluded the ceremony.
· Please join together immediately in the church basement for refreshments.
January 28th, 2012 First Penance Sacramental Ceremony, 10:00am Immaculate Conception in Lonsdale
